Set up in about 10 minutes. Your totals update on their own as you add people and gifts.

1. Set your total budget

Open Databases → Gift Settings → 🎁 My Gift Budget and type your total in Total Gift Budget.

2. Clear the sample data (1 minute)

In each table on the dashboard, click the first row's checkbox, Shift + click the last row, then press Delete. Keep the 🎁 My Gift Budget row — that's your hub.

3. Add your people

Under 👪 People & Budgets, add everyone you're buying for, their group and how much you want to spend. Jot down gift ideas, sizes and favorite things.

4. Add gifts

On the 🎁 Gift Board, click + New in the 💡 Idea column. Pick who it's for and the cost. Add an Order By date so you get a reminder: 🟢 → 🟡 at 21 days → 🔴 at 7 days.

5. Drag gifts along

💡 Idea → 🛒 Ordered → 📦 Arrived → 🎀 Wrapped → ✅ Given. Spending counts a gift once it's ordered, and each person shows 🟢 $ left or 🔴 over budget.

6. Plan the season

Add parties, deadlines, travel and baking days under 📅 Holiday Plans. Tick Done to hide them.

Rows added from the dashboard link to your hub automatically. If you add one inside the Databases page, set its Hub field to 🎁 My Gift Budget.

🔁 Use it all year

After the holidays, rename the hub and reuse it for birthdays, Valentine's Day, Mother's and Father's Day, weddings and baby showers.
